Job Description

Job Title: Senior Interior DesignerA Senior Interior Designer is required to join a prestige marque automotive manufacturer on a permanent basis.This is an exciting opportunity for someone with Automotive interior design skills to develop their career by working as a Senior Interior Designer in a state of the art facility for an organisation which includes prestige marques of vehicles.The successful candidate will be working in the UK Design Studio and closely with overseas teams on compelling and relevant designs for new and on-going projects involving both passenger and commercial vehicles.In return for your experience, this organisation will offer you:

Responsibilities of the Senior Interior Designer will include the following:
  • Contribute to the development of various mobility vehicles (CV and/or PV) including new platforms along with advanced work such as internal and external concepts.
  • Produce compelling design ideas to support any of the ongoing projects and any other assigned activities supporting the UK Design Studio output.
  • Develop concepts via sketches, clay or digital models to illustrate and present ideas to colleagues and management.
  • Communicate ideas in the best way (presentations, visuals, models dress-up, etc.)
  • Capable of representing the teams vision in meetings, relay information to cross-functional peers or teams members within design. A strong cross-functional approach is required.
The Senior Interior Designer should have the following skills or experience:
  • Honours degree in a relevant technical speciality.
  • 4 years experience in the automotive or other relevant industry.
  • Knowledge of passenger and commercial vehicles.
  • Experience of advance concept car builds and production programmes.
  • Knowledge of 2D, 3D and animation software eg Photoshop, Alias or After Effects.
  • Ability to generate new ideas with appropriate action plans and feasibility information.
  • Capable of managing an element of a project.
