Coventry Building Society are currently looking for a Senior Information Security Manager to join the team on a permanent basis.As a fully regulated business by both the PRA and FCA, establishing and maintaining the appropriate Information Security risk and governance frameworks, controls, and regulatory compliance is critical in supporting CBS business objectives.This is a senior leadership role in our Information Security team and will take pivotal ownership of Information Security (IS) Governance, Risk and Compliance Management. The role will set the IS GRC strategy and direction of the team and will lead and managea team of analysts.You will be a subject matter expert who will guide where possible, and mandate where essential, while engaging positively with all staff from the Executive and Board through day-to-day operational compliance capabilities and duties.You will:· Have an excellent understanding of Information Security, especially the principles of Information Security governance, risk and compliance management and the associated regulatory environment.· Take a positive, proactive, and above all pragmatic approach to managing IS GRC governance, risk and compliance· Be influential, able to challenge senior stakeholders whilst maintaining relationships, informally and through papers and presentations.· Be highly organised with the ability to work on your own initiative.· Demonstrate critical thinking and analysis, using risk analysis, business intelligence and general problem-solving techniques to achieve outcomes and able to work to a high degree of accuracy.· Be an authentic servant-leader who takes responsibility for ensuring the teams success ahead of your own needs.
