Job Description

MS448 -Senior Electrical Facilities ManagerLocation: CoventrySalary:£60,000 - £65,000 per annumOverview: First Military Recruitment are currently seeking an Operations Technician on behalf of one of our clients. As a key member of the facilities management team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability, efficiency, andsafety of electrical infrastructure within the healthcare facilities.Our client encourages applications from ex-military personnel however all candidates will be given due consideration.Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement long-term strategies for the maintenance, upgrade, and optimization of electrical systems in healthcare facilities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align electrical infrastructure plans with overall facility management objectives.
  • Electrical Systems Maintenance: Oversee the preventive and corrective maintenance of electrical systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Implement predictive maintenance strategies to minimize downtime and enhance system reliability.
  • Emergency Response and Troubleshooting:Lead emergency response efforts for electrical system failures and disruptions, working closely with onsite teams to minimize impact on healthcare operations.
  • Provide expertise in troubleshooting complex electrical issues and develop solutions to address them promptly.
  • Compliance and Safety:Ensure that all electrical systems meet regulatory and safety standards, conducting regular audits and inspections.
  • Collaborate with regulatory agencies to maintain compliance with relevant codes and guidelines.
  • Energy Efficiency and Sustainability:Identify opportunities for energy efficiency improvements within the electrical infrastructure, implementing sustainable practices where possible.
  • Evaluate and recommend new technologies to enhance the efficiency and sustainability of electrical systems.
  • Budget Management:Develop and manage budgets for electrical maintenance and upgrades, ensuring cost-effective solutions without compromising quality.
  • Monitor and report on financial performance related to electrical systems management.
  • Team Leadership and Development:Supervise and mentor a team of electrical maintenance professionals, providing guidance and support for skill development.
  • Foster a collaborative and proactive work environment that encourages innovation and continuous improvement.
Skills and Qualifications:
  • HNC/HND Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • 18th Edition.
  • Authorised Person High Voltage - Operation and Safety (APHV1).
  • City & Guilds - Senior Authorised Person - Safe Switching Operation of HV Power Systems.
  • Proven experience in facilities management within a healthcare setting (desirable).
  • Demonstrated experience in strategic planning and project management.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
