You will ultimatelyhelp to improve efficiencies, lower costs and make solutions more robust and easier to support. This senior Data Development role will provide group wide management information and reporting solutions that will support and inform the organisation in meetingits strategic goals.Key Responsibilities:

• Working with the data developers to ensure coding standards practices are adhered to and documented.
• Promote adoption of new technologies to simplify processes and solutions.
• Ensure data security and information governance policies are adhered to throughout the development lifecycle.
• Work with the business to develop and support its reporting requirements, this includes the creation of system generated reports / dashboards
• Subject matter expert in SQL Server technologies (SQL, SSIS, SSRS)
• Subject matter expert in development practices including: Azure Devops (Desirable), source control (TVFS or similar), automated unit testing and deployment pipelines.
• Utilising and promoting the use of Azure technologies (desirable) within business solutions, such as SQL VMs, Azure SQL databases, Key Vaults, Data Factory, Synapse.
• Maintenance of documentation for technical specification and procedures, working with Microsoft DevOps work items to deliver functionality
• Supporting the team to deliver data integrations with third-party organisations, including stock transfer with other housing associations.
• Support implementation and testing of new software and upgrades.

Essential Skills / Experience:

• Experience of Microsoft operating system and applications
• High level of Report Writing tools and practices
• High level of Database Architecture and Design
• High level of SQL Stored Procedures
• Excellent knowledge of SSIS / SSRS
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycle practices utilising a devops CI/CD approach.
• Experience implementing best practices and document complex business processes
• Experience of using Source Control tools

Desirable Skills:

• Azure Data Lake, Data Factory and Synapse Technology
• Power BI
