The Executive Network Groups Logistics & Transport Division is currently recruiting for a Senior Buyer with experience in electrical component purchasing where a fantastic opportunity has arisen to join a large 3PL on a joint venture with one of theirwell valued partners.Senior BuyerAutomotive / Electric ComponentsLocationCoventry/WarwickshireSalaryc£45/55,000 before bonusThe successful Senior Buyer will have the following skills and experience:Minimum expertise in one or more of the following areas: cells, BMS, composites, electrical components. (Knowledge of the UK EV market is very desirable)Experience in a tier 1 automotive environmentPrevious experience in a mid-volume businessDemonstrated track record of success in cost down programmes, supplier managementEvidence of varied sourcing of commoditiesCIPS Qualified and an Engineering degree or equivalent would be desirableThe successful Senior Buyer will be responsible for the following:The Senior Buyer is responsible for the identification of best cost, high performing suppliers to support business growth and improve performance to operations. The Individual will provide support for new business enquiries from the Business Development teamand work with and support Manufacturing Engineering & Quality departments in the procurement of tooling and facilities. To create and drive Purchasing strategies without the need for guidance Create purchasing relationships and supply that supports companies growth Supplier identification where approved suppliers are unable to achieve the required specification Commodity identification where new technologies are required to meet the customer specification Demonstrates a high level of competence in creative problem solving Excellent communication skills and a track record of developing internal team and external supplier relationships Proven track record of Purchasing within a manufacturing environment Report all incidents, hazards, near misses to minimise / eliminate the risk of potential further incidents occurringA little bit about you; A high achiever Proactive with an ability to seek out commercial opportunities Ability to work to tight deadlines Possess the ability to exercise sound judgement in high pressure environments Results orientated Enthusiastic & self-motivated A creative thinkerCVs will not be reviewed until the earliest of January 4th 2022.Please email call for more information.
