Job Description

About the CompanySheridan Maine Midlands Region is proud to be working exclusively with a reputable not for profit organisation who are recruiting a Senior Accounts Assistant. This role has become available due to a restructure of the organisation.DutiesIn this exciting Senior Accounts Assistant role, YOU will be a key member of the organisations team. You will take ownership of the general, purchase and sales ledgers and assist with month-end processes. Day-to-day tasks will include (but not be limited to):

  • Ensure the efficient and effective processing of day-to-day transactions, the maintenance of an adequate
  • Prepare and assist with the monthly, quarterly, and yearly internal and external financial planning, forecasting, and reporting processes, and distribute (where applicable) the financial reports to all budget holders and stakeholders in a timely mannerwithin agreed timescales.
  • Update and report on cash flow, bank covenants and capital borrowing facilities.
  • Reconcile all balance sheet items
  • Analyse and reconcile all credit/procurement card expenditure monthly and liaise with budget/card holders to identify and correct any discrepancies.
  • Maintain all customer and supplier records including, but not limited to, setting up new records, carrying out associated due-diligence checks, and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of electronic records.
  • Carry out other duties as required by management.
Person specificationThe ideal Senior Accounts Assistant will:
  • Ability to use Microsoft Excel proficiently including advanced skills ie - vlookup, sumif, countif, and creating and manipulating pivot tables
  • Studying AAT, ACCA, CIMA or ACA
  • Extremely organised in a manner that is easily read by others
