About The RoleWe have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Accounts Administrator to join the Financial Controls team at the Society for a fixed term of 6 months.You will support the Finance Team in ensuring that:i) the Societys accounting records have integrity and are a robust basis for internal and external reporting;ii) a robust control framework over daily accounting operations is in place; andiii) process controls over Society expenditure are operating effectively.You will have responsibility for preparing a wide range of reconciliations, investigating, and resolving any discrepancies. You will have the ability to communicate clearly and promptly to relevant parties until issues are resolved.You will prepare, file, and input accurate accounting journals with supporting documentation, as well as support the month end process of reviewing the files for missing items.You will be responsible for keeping procedures up to date, ensuring that they are clear and concise for other users.You will be able to resolve ad-hoc queries received from the business, especially those directly linked to members, in a professional and timely manner, requesting support from other team members where appropriate.You will be in involved in other tasks as required across the team, including, but not limited to, Accounts Receivable, CFC printing, the review of the cash discrepancies account, and the preparation of simple prepayment and accruals at month-end.About YouTo be successful in this role, you will have the following key attributes: Proactive Excellent interpersonal skills and contributes to team discussions Ability to challenge existing processes and recommend improvements Team player Credibility with senior management AAT part qualified desirable or demonstrable relevant experience NumerateYou should have sound knowledge of office administration duties, basic knowledge of double entry bookkeeping and an understanding of fraud risks and ability to operate detection measures.You will have the ability to use the following systems: Intermediate excel (VLOOKUPs and SUMIF type functions) Working knowledge of financial systems, i.e. Oracle, Workday Use of MS WordThe closing date for applications is 17th November 2022
