This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious and dynamic Business Development Manager to develop the success of a logistics organisation. They are an established company who provide cost effective SAMEDAY COURIER solutions to the B2B market. They are a friendly, dynamic and entrepreneurial group and are looking for like-minded individuals.As a successful Business Development Manager you will be working in a client facing role from day one.Based out of our Coventry depot, you will be focused on engaging with perspective business clients, identifying and discussing their logistics usage.The ideal candidate must have a proven track record in new business sales, preferably within the logistics industry as will be selling predominately the Sameday Courier service nationally. You will also be selling the full portfolio of multi carrier solutions, B2B, including Nextday UK, International Parcels and Pallets, European Road Freight, Freight Forwarding and General Haulage.You will be required to generate your own leads to pursue, in addition to researching your region, identifying potential opportunities and booking your own meetings. You must be a good prospector who is willing and able to develop new business from scratch. Self-management and organisational skills are key. You must be enthusiastic, self-motivated and ambitious as well as presentable, with good sales training and a full understanding and appreciation of the sales process. Produce professional reports and presentations to board level standard and create new improved working methods within the sales cycle. Work closely with the local Operations Management team.
