Job Description

THE COMPANY Chandlers Roofing Supplies is a highly successful independent builders merchant with branches across the UK. Along with its sister companies Parker Building Supplies, Stamco Timber, Fairalls (Builders Merchants) and Chandlers Building Supplies the group have a total of 40 branches and a combined revenue of £180 million. This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly successful Independent Roofing & Builders Merchants.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serve customers on the sales counter and on the phone.
  • Ensure the trade counter and shop area is well presented and fully stocked.
  • Monitor stock levels and ensure branch computer stock records are accurate at all times through the prompt maintenance of sales order processing, stock receipting, supplier returns, inter branch transfers and customer returns in Kerridge as required by the manager.
  • Co-ordinate all stock purchase and invoice register queries in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Raise purchase orders and resolve any queries.
  • Undertake the daily Kerridge cash drawer report and maintain an accurate record of transactions, including the till discrepancy report. Complete the daily banking.
  • Scan, import and check delivery notes, daily filing of stock delivery and receipt documentation.
  • Assist the Branch Manager with full branch stock takes when required.
  • Take a pro-active approach in ensuring the health and safety of staff and customers, reporting and responding to any potential H & S concerns/issues.
    • HOURS OF WORKMonday to Friday from 07:00 to 16.30 & every other Saturdays from 07.30 to 11.30.WHAT YOU WILL RECEIVEWe are an independent company who value our employees.
