The Research Finance and Compliance Unit is responsible for financial management, accounting and funder compliance of research and income generating contracts ranging from Arts to Engineering and Health Sciences to Gamification funded by the whole spectrumof public and private organisations. There is an exciting opportunity to join this dynamic team.A Research Finance and Compliance Officer is required to support the accounting of projects and we are looking for an enthusiastic, dedicated, and professional individual to fill this post. Coventry Universitys Excellence with Impact research strategy takes the University forward by strengthening our research excellence and building on our strengths as a business facing Institution. The post holder will support this strategy with responsibility for project accounting, provision of budgetary control statements to relevant stakeholders ensuring evidence and supporting audits.The post holder also compiles all low risk claims and provides main financial processing support to research centers and researchers. You will be an AAT or equivalent qualified.Furthermore, you should possess experience of working in a customer service environment with an ability to analyse and report financial information. You will possess strong communication skills along with excellent team working and self-management skills. Knowledge of higher education sector accounting and research funding will be a useful though not an essential skill.
