About The RoleWe have an exciting opportunity within our Financial Reporting team for a Regulatory Reporting Senior Accountant.In this role youll focus in the preparation of regulatory returns which are submitted to our Regulators, the Bank of England (BoE), the Prudential Regulation Authority (PRA) and The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) on a monthly and quarterly basis supportedby the Regulatory Reporting Senior ManagerThis is a high profile area and is a key activity within the larger Finance team.Our Regulatory Returns cover a wide range of areas including Financial Reporting, Liquidity Reporting, Capital Reporting and Retail product specific reporting.Youll be responsible for the preparation of Financial Reporting Regulatory returns allocated to you ensuring high standards of accuracy and timeliness are maintained.Youll plan your own workload ensuring all tasks are covered and deadlines are met without risk of error or late submissions.As an expert in your field youll keep a close eye on the industry and keep abreast of new reporting requirements and amendments to existing reporting ensuring these are implemented within your allocated returns in a controlled, accurate and timely manner inaccordance with our Regulatory Reporting Framework.As the Senior Accountant within the team you will be expected to provide cover to the Regulatory Reporting Senior Manager and support to the other team members when requested.About YouYoull be ACCA/ACA qualified and enthusiastic, proactive and understand the importance of Regulatory Reporting and risks associated with not meeting the Regulators expectations around quality and accuracy. You must be an organised individual who can work underpressure whilst remaining calm and focused on achieving tight deadlines.You will have experience of producing financial reporting and interpreting complex regulatory guidance and accounting standards.A good eye for detail and accuracy is essential and the ability to investigate and explain variance and trend analysis movements.Youll have a good working knowledge of excel and be able to produce well-structured spreadsheets that meet the Societys End User Computer policy.Good communication skills are essential as you will be working with all levels of Senior Managers across Finance and Non-Finance areas and you must have the ability and confidence to explain complex guidance and provide challenge.
