HSE Recruitment are working with a growing logistics company to source them a Regional Compliance Manager covering the South of the UK.This is a fantastic opportunity for a compliance professional who wants to work for a business who are looking to establish a strong foundation in compliance which can then be built and improved upon. You will have a variety of sites to manage and influence,have autonomy to run your own diary but also work as part of a team and be encouraged to come forward with ideas.The group of companies have come together through acquisition in recent years so there wasnt a consistent message on compliance across the group. Things are moving in a really positive way, the business is profitable, there is a healthy journey happening anda new Board of Directors who are investing and getting things done quickly.It is an ambitious role which will work as part of a larger team of 7, and under the strategic guidance of the SHEQ Director to improve compliance across the sites, to identify areas of improvement and steer the strategy along with the team. You will: Manage the audit calendar for the southern region to ensure internal quarterly audits are completed and all operations remain fully compliant in readiness for annual external audits; Issue weekly update reports to the QSHE Director to enable the business plan to be continually updated and identify any immediate risks and escalate through the correct process; Work closely with each operating companys Managing Director and on-site teams to ensure full compliance in all business areas including, fleet, warehousing, workshop and employees to mitigate any risk to either the Company or the Group; Manage the implementation and delivery of BRC, FORS and other external compliance standards to ensure the highest level is being maintained at all times; Conduct and write risk assessments to cover all operational functions to ensure the business remains complaint and additional training needs or resources are identified; Design and deliver training sessions as and when required to meet all legal compliance requirements across fleet, people and facilities.Experience required:- NEBOSH Certificate as a minimum Transport CPC Qualification Experience in logistics with a good understanding of trucks and truck safety as there is a huge fleet A Lead Auditor Qualification (for example from the ISO or BRC) Engaging, able to influence and resilient Desirable experience:- Experience with one of more; FORS, BRC, ISO Systems and DGSA/ ADR Multisite experiencewould be benefit especially that multiple stakeholder management but we will consider people from large single site rolesIt is a home-based role approx. 2 days a week with travel across a range of sites in the South of the UK. The ideal location would be the Midlands to access the sites in Shropshire, Birmingham, Rugby and Northampton but there are a few sites dotted in Southampton,Bristol and Essex.
