Job Description

We are on a journey to make the world a beautiful andsustainable place to live and have pledged to achieve net-zero carbon emissions by 2050!This is a fantastic opportunity to join as a Rebate Analyst with Saint-Gobain and take responsibility for the accuracy and integrity of rebate forecasting for a category of suppliers, ensuring debt is reconciled, collected and allocated to brands correctly and in a timely manner, and any risks are managed proactively. In addition,also forecasting rebates from the suppliers generating lower values.As a Rebate Analyst with Saint-Gobain the main responsibilities are below but not limited to:

  • Responsible for completing an accurate forecast of rebate income at quarterly intervals.
  • Be able to investigate and explain purchases and rebate movement between years and forecasts from a supplier and brand perspective.
  • Update the rebate forecast workbooks for those suppliers generating rebate less than £100K and investigate variances from previous forecasts.
  • Establish a regular routine of meetings with around Category Managers to build relationships, gain knowledge and provide relevant and value added rebate forecast reports.
  • Proactively engage with Category Finance and Product management teams to understand and challenge the supplier strategy to produce a robust purchases and rebate forecast.
  • Complete reconciliations for your allocated suppliers, ensuring queries and differences are followed up in a timely manner.
  • Proactively drive effective relationships with the key suppliers, Category teams and Purchase Ledger to ensure queries and issues are resolved in a timely manner.
  • Ensure reconciliations are completed to cover all collectable elements of the rebate deal, and where appropriate can be passed on to the Rebate Credit Manager for collection in order to minimise outstanding debt.

  • Some experience working in a Finance team preferred and good understanding of Financial Accounting Principles.
  • Qualifications: Maths & English GCSEs, also AAT qualified or early stage CIMA student would be advantageous.
  • Strong excel skills are mandatory (using excel to manipulate data, v-lookups, formulas)
  • Team player, with excellent relationship management and networking skills.
  • Able to cope within tight deadlines with high personal standards towards delivery of information to the highest standards of quality and integrity.
  • Accuracy, numeracy and attention to detail is paramount.
  • Good business acumen and commercial awareness, with strong analytical skills to assimilate information.
  • Analytical experience and a proven track record of using analytical tools and methodologies to solve problems.
  • Self-motivated and ability to work on own initiative towards business improvement and personal development.
  • Ability to communicate comfortably with all levels of staff and management in the Company.
