Job Description

A Quality Engineer position has become available, within a business that supplies revolutionary technology to the ever-changing Automotive industry. As they work through a huge period of growth, this award-winning company is looking to expand on its variousteams within this plant. Reporting directly to the Quality Manager, you will be responsible for providing day to day quality support for Customer and Internal concerns.Quality Engineer duties include -

  • Co-ordinating and controlling investigation of Customer complaints to enable a full understanding of the real root cause.
  • Monitoring the implementation and effectiveness of any corrective actions taken to eliminate Supplier or Customer complaints.
  • Accountable for all line issues - containment, corrective action, risk assessment and 8D.
  • Feedback quality and product issues in a timely manner to production.
  • Continuous monitoring of the manufacturing process by audit, statistical analysis or any other relevant technique to support continuous improvement.
  • Attend customer SQA visits and help maintain relationships.
Quality Engineer desirable skills and experience -
  • Knowledge of modern manufacturing methods and techniques.
  • Trained Internal Auditor, ISO 9001 and/or IATF 16949 QMS.
  • Ability to use tools such as PPAP, 8D, Control Plan and MSA.
  • Relevant manufacturing/mechanical engineering education (HND/HNC).
