Job title: Project manager24-month fixed term Location: BirminghamHybrid (1-2 days per week office-based) Salary: £41,169 - £46,333 per annum plus benefits REED Talent Solutions are working with West Midlands Combined Authority based in Birminghamrecruiting THREE Project Managers on a 24-month fixed term basis to run an exciting digital/tech project.The West Midlands Combined Authority (WMCA) was set up in 2016. They want to make the West Midlands a happy, healthy, place to live. Theyll do this by:Making it easier and safer to travel in and around the regionUsing derelict land to build homesProtectinggreen spacesMaking sure young people have the education and employment opportunities to make a great start in lifeWorking together to support communities and build a fairer, healthier and more inclusive West MidlandsTackling climate change throughtheir WM2041 pledgeReporting into the Innovation Portfolio Manager, you will be managing a project where the organisation wants to get more out of their digital platform within their SwiftCard application. You will be streamlining their ticketing process as well as building contactlesspayment options at every site. WMCA are also looking at introducing a day cap on bus fares to tackle the cost-of-living crisis. They are looking to upscale the infrastructure they already have in play thus controlling costs as well as resource. You will haveexperience of rolling out digital and technology-based projects whereby you have managed senior level stakeholders and able to support, guide and head up the project leading from the front. You will also have a project management qualification such as Prince2or APM and have experience of working with an Agile methodology. We would also be interested in speaking with those who have an array of experience across various methodologies.Duties include:Provide project management leadership for the development of significant multi-disciplinary projects within the programme as defined in the approved gated project management lifecycle processManage successful delivery of allocated capitalproject and/or approved revenue funded Project for both internal facing and external parties in accordance with the requirements of the relevant project documentation.The provision of timely, accurate and cohesive input to the required internal and externalproject/programme monitoring processes as appropriate.Day to day management of cross-functional resources (internal and third party) assigned to the projects being managed.
