Pertemps are looking for Production Welders to join a well established manufacturing company based in Coventry, this is a permanent role for the right candidates with immediate starts.Duties to include:1 - To perform MAG, TIG welding and supplementary processes by manual and mechanised methods as required by the company to support production as required by the company.2 - Close cooperation with line management in organising technical workflow in the weld department.3 - Performing regular procedure and welder certification testing in compliance with ISO 15614-1, ISO 15613, ISO 9606-1 and ISO 14732 and reporting outcomes.4 - Perform welding activities in accordance with ISO 14731 as authorised.5 - Maintain production welding certification to ISO 9606-1 and ISO 14732 standards through regular scheduled testing and on demand as required to demonstrate continued competence.6 - Setting, programming and operating fully mechanised circumferential welding lathes and power sources and provide training to other personnel.7 - Read and interpret engineering welding fabrication drawings, symbols and measurements, preform inspections before during and after welding and instruct personnel in fabrication and quality requirements.8 - Monitoring welding and ancillary equipment and assist in troubleshooting issues.9 - Perform certified visual inspection of production welding in accordance with ISO 5817.10 - Work to health and safety in the welding workshop and to maintain a safe and tidy work environment at all times, cooperate with management and Health & Safety measures or regulations as required.11 - To review records of production and quality documentation and cooperate with quality department and production management to maintain records and plan improvement activities.12 - Use of measuring equipment, hand, power and air tools, thermal cutting / heating equipment, lifting equipment.13 - Willingness to develop skills through training and flexibility to perform job tasks within the company aligned with the primary role and additional work areas as requiredQualifications required:1 - Holding valid ISO 9606-1 and ISO 14732 certification.2 - Verifiable experience of working in a production welding environment.3 - Historical evidence of certified visual welding inspection and holding a valid CSWIP 3.0 or ISO 9712 certificate is preferred.4 - Completion of a welding and fabrication or a relevant apprenticeship / training / industrial certification or diploma program advantageous, HNC / HND preferredEssential Skills:1 - Conceptual skills.2 - Process improvement.3 - Attention to detail.4 - Ability to work professionally in a team environment, on own initiative and under direct instruction by supervisors.5 - Adept at problem solving and adaptable to new situations and challenges being open to change, new ideas and improvements.6 - Ability to communicate clearly, ask questions and demonstrate understanding of tasks and apply common sense to duties and instructions.7 - Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulationsHours are Monday to Friday 07.30-16.30 (12.30 finish on Friday)Salary up to £16th dependent on experience
