Job Description

Product Manager / Platform Administrator (ServiceNow)A bit about the role...The Product Manager / Platform Administrator (ServiceNow) will play an important role in the Digital Support team. You will be joining our small, friendly and experienced team, who are committed to making positive change in how we support our colleagueswithin Homes England.Working with colleagues within Digital, suppliers and across the Agency, you will develop and maintain a high-level plan to support Homes Englands ambition to have digitally enabled, automated services that work more simply for users. You will identifyopportunities, drive adoption and extend service management principles into other areas of the Agency to ensure processes are efficient through automation.You will be responsible for the on-going development and quality of ServiceNow, ensuring we continue to get best value from our investment and extend those benefits to other parts of Homes England. You will be expected to use your skills and knowledge ofServiceNow, user needs and ability to understand business goals to frame problems and set priorities to manage the product throughout its lifecycle.You will work with the wider team to establish a best in class service support operation, underpinned by industry standard ITIL 4 processes. This is a rare chance to shape the future of service management in a fast growing, national organisation with realsocial purpose.A bit about youThe successful candidate will be a confident, enthusiastic, dynamic and experienced professional. You will have a proven track record working within a digital operations environment and have a passion for supporting and exploring technology.You will have experience of working as a product manager delivering user centred digital services/products, through which you have gained skills in product ownership and the ability to contextualise problems and their potential solutions within the widerneeds of the organisation.You will maintain the stability and usability of the platform across production and nonproduction environments, lead upgrade planning and execution, be responsible for providing the business support that makes using ServiceNow as a strategic platform possible.Own the relationship with project stakeholders to identify, prioritize, model, and document business, process, and data requirements. Work with stakeholders to drive adoption.You will have ServiceNow qualifications with Fundamentals as a minimum, working knowledge of ServiceNow Modules, including ITSM, ITAM, ITOM and LSD.You know how to apply tools and concepts in a variety of ways and adapt to change, using new ways of working where appropriate. This allows you to identify and compare processes or delivery methods to use, to help the team to decide on the best approach.You have experience of collaborating with user researchers and understand the importance of user research in identifying and prioritising the needs to be met, and you understand the variety and complexity of users digital needs and how products can meetthese.You can build business cases based on user needs that enable decisions to be made on a commercial basis, ensuring the correct solutions are chosen that can be delivered within the constraints we have. By linking activity back to the business case, you ensureagreed outcomes are achieved producing the expected value for the organisation.You understand new and emerging digital technologies and the opportunities they provide to improve the delivery of public services in the UK and have an awareness of Government Digital standards and how these enable us to build better services.You understand the product life cycle and how to design operational processes for the running and maintenance of products or services throughout their product life cycle.You will have an analytical mind and assist with identifying potential root causes of technical issues and provide recommendations.You will be the kind of person who is confident enough to engage fully in our team meetings, projects and day to day work and make a positive contribution to the continual improvement of processes and behaviours within our team and yourself.Excellent understanding and demonstrable experience of working to the ITIL framework.Lastly, delivering on a mission as bold as ours isnt always easy.
