We offer a range of wound care technologies and all our products are manufactured in ISO certified clean rooms in line with the highest standards of care.SFM’s aim is to successfully deliver innovative, cost effective and quality products and solutions into the advanced wound care industry with an ultimate aim of improving patient care and wellbeing.Currently an exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and dynamic Planning and Materials Manager to join and support Operations team.Planning and Materials Manager - duties to include:• Advise Commercial department of achievable delivery dates.• Update customer order information.• Generate and analyse production schedules.• Maintenance of stock control records• MRP planning.• Ensuring on time delivery of product to customers.• Ensure on time supply of raw materials and consumables.• Manage suppliers and monitor supplier performance.• Continuously look to identify and execute raw material and consumable cost savings.• Procuring within budget and against the business objectives.• Maintain and modify Excel spreadsheets used within Operations and as part of the MRP process.• Collate, analyse and issue L&R ratio reports.• Maintain long term master plan schedule for use in project management and budget planning.• Manage stock takes in accordance with established procedures and ensure accurate stock figures are reported to Finance monthly.• Support and deputise production supervisors in the event of absence or holidays.Planning and Materials Manager - Key skills / abilities:• Demonstrable experience of process MRP is necessary.• Demonstrable experience of Purchasing and supplier management in necessary.• Previous manufacturing environment experience is necessary.• Ability to strategically source materials.• Demonstrable cost reduction and management experience.• Experience in the Medical device industry is not necessary but would be beneficial.• Strong organizational skills.• Excellent Microsoft Excel knowledge.• Production management experience would be beneficial.• Leadership of direct reports.Planning and Materials Manager - Benefits:• Competitive salary• Contributory pension scheme• Life cover• Incapacity benefits• Cash Back Medical Scheme• Flexible working hoursIf you have the skills and experience, we require for this role and are looking for a new challenge please email your CV to us with a relevant cover letter, explaining why you are a good fit for this roleImportant Information:Due to the number of applications we receive, we will only contact those candidates that we want to take forward to interview; if you do not hear from us within 4 weeks, please assume that your application has been unsuccessful on this occasion.No Agencies Please Required skills
