Job Description

We are delighted to assist our valued client for a 3-6-month Fixed Term Contract for a Payroll Support Officer.Working a 37.5-hour week Monday to Friday, on site 5 days per week.The post holder will support in the day to day administration and maintenance of Payroll, Pensions and Expenses records to safeguard an accurate and timely data approval and flow to ensure pay is accurate and timely. Also to provide accurate information, onrequest, to Staff, Managers and external agents; They will be required to work independently and as part of a Team. This role is involved with all aspects off administration from opening post and assigning to Authorised signatory.* Responsible for maintaining accurate databases that record all incoming applications for parental leave and distributing these to the appropriate Officer.* Respond to and accurately carry out requests for earnings details from employees, Managers and external agents, including mortgage providers, and provide statistical information to relevant parties. * To monitor and maintain the electronic post box for all amendments and terminations, ensuring they are distributed to relevant officer, raising queries for missing details/information directly with line managers, informing the Team Leaders about possibleover/underpayments, proactively follow up outstanding queries * Ensure all paperwork is appropriately filed.* Assist the office with the input of data as instructed. * Be the first contact for payroll queries from employees and managers, ensuring accurate and timely response to routine and more complex queries relating pay using tact and sensitivity when staff/managers may become distressed and are unfamiliar with pay processesor national terms and conditions of pay. * Ensure a strong focus on excellent customer service when answering incoming telephone calls dealing with the enquiry or forwarding to relevant section.To provide general reception service for the Payroll department.Experience:Clerical experience. Keyboard skillsExperience of basic office processes
