Job Description

MOD File Handler To manage and progress own caseload of Pre-Litigation Noise Induced Hearing Loss claims from the MOD.Key Accountabilities • Reviewing documents and preparing reports• Reviewing evidence (including medical/personnel records/AFCS and War Pension records)• Conducting investigations with Insured/obtaining witness statements• Dealing with routine correspondence• Completing and updating MI• Providing initial reports and further reports/advice to clients• Liaising directly with the Claims Handlers and Managers• Complying with Client’s instructions• Assisting team in achieving goals and objectives• Achieve a chargeable target• Billing• Appropriate delegation to paralegals• Adhere to the Keoghs ValuesRecruitment Criteria:• Technically proficient in dealing with NIHL cases and/or having a willingness to learn quickly in a technically challenging environment• Experience in handling own caseload• Proficient in MS Office (word and excel in particular) and experience of using a Case/Claims Management system.• Effective negotiator• Ability to use own initiative• Flexibility in relation to tasks undertaken• Good listening and verbal communication skills• Ability to maintain concentration and pay attention to detail• Ability to self-organise and self-prioritise• Ability to work under pressure and to target• An enthusiastic and hardworking individualWorking Hours35 hours per week Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm with 1 unpaid hour for lunch.
