We are seeking a qualified professional with expertise in Mechanical Engineering to deliver a wide range of subjects in a workshop environment.You will be responsible for instructing and mentoring students on topics including Milling, Turning, Fitting, CNC, Pneumatics, Hydraulics, Fluid Power, and Mechanical Maintenance. The role will involve a combination of classroom instruction and hands-on workshoptraining.Ideal Requirements:

  • Experience working in the Further Education (FE) sector and Apprenticeships, understanding the unique needs of vocational learners.
  • Proven experience in delivering teaching both within a classroom and a workshop environment.
  • Teaching qualifications are a must.
  • Mechanical Engineering qualifications at or above level 3 are essential to ensure that you can effectively impart your knowledge to students.
Responsibilities:
  • Develop and deliver engaging and informative lessons on various Mechanical Engineering topics.
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment for students.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to learners, supporting their development as future engineers.
  • Assess student progress and maintain accurate records of their performance.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to curriculum development.
The Role:This is a full-time position, encompassing 37 hours per week, which will be divided between teaching and marking responsibilities. We offer a competitive salary, ranging from £30,000 to £35,000, with an additional £3,500 market supplement, enabling you toearn up to £39,000. In addition to the financial rewards, youll enjoy a generous holiday allowance of 51 days, including 40 days of annual leave, 8 days of bank holidays, and 3 closure days.
