Job Description

EngineerI am partnered with an employee focused award-winning consultancy who are at the forefront of innovative and specialist engineering projects for some of the worlds most prestigious manufacturers in the automotive, aerospace and MOD sectors.Due to year-on-year expansion and natural growth from within, my client has exciting opportunities available for technically motivated engineers looking for mentally stimulating fast paced projects and engineers who have the willingness and motivation tofurther development their technical skills and business experience.Responsibilities

  • Utilising state of the art simulation techniques and design tools to design, develop and prototype electric drive systems
  • Developing new methods to solve industry problems, generating market leading solutions
  • Responsible for the delivery of technical work packages and whole projects
  • Leading by example implementing in house technical processes to ensure it is executed to the highest quality when developing others in standards of drawings and technical reporting
  • Managing multi person/cross functional projects to achieve budgeted margin and maintain an excellent relationship with customers, whilst being accountable to the operations board for their outcome
You Will Have:
  • Degree or higher in mechanical engineering or related discipline to 2:1 or above OR equivalent demonstrable experience
  • Experience of automotive, transmission or precision engineering design or analysis
  • An aptitude for solving engineering problems, and experience in finding supporting resources
  • Exposure to some of the key software packages within drivetrain engineering (SMT MASTA, Romax, Creo, UGNX, Catia)
  • Able to follow key engineering processes and procedures
  • High level of numeracy, an ability to apply analytical approaches and strong problem solving skills
