Were based rurally in Silverstone, Northamptonshire.BASIC SALARY: £30,000 - £40,000 dependent on your experienceBENEFITS:· Company performance bonus up to 10% · 25 days holiday and 8 bank holidays · Flexitime workingLOCATION: Silverstone, NorthamptonshireCOMMUTABLE LOCATIONS: Northampton, Milton Keynes, Stony Stratford, Oxford, CoventryWHY YOU SHOULD APPLY: Manufacturing Team Leader, Automotive Systems - Electric Vehicle· This is a brand new role where youll be leading our manufacturing, build & test · Having already doubled our headcount in 2020, our order book is strong enough to need to hire again · We can give you a varied role, working on brand new products, without the red tape that comes from working for a large corporate manufacturerTHE ROLE: Manufacturing Team Leader, Automotive Systems - Electric VehicleSupplying the Automotive Electric Vehicle market, we are at the forefront of prototype development, mainly concentrating on low volume & prototype development, we are fully geared for high volume production too.We develop bespoke & low volume prototype batteries, some from scratch & project management their design, build & HV test.Were looking to hire someone whos capable of running the workshop, oversee manufacturing, & battery build. Youll need to be very hands on in this role.YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES: Manufacturing Team Leader, Automotive Systems - Electric Vehicle· Oversee simultaneous projects running concurrently · Ensure your production targets are met · Setting tasks to manufacturing team members, youll utilise a team of 6 technicians & engineers · Implement new manufacturing processes & procedures (6 Sigma, 5S &/or Lean manufacturing) · Health & Safety in your Workshop · Test & fault-finding of units · Attending various meetings internally with stakeholders or with external customers · Willingness to get involved and be a hands-on team playerYOUR BACKGROUND: Manufacturing Team Leader, Automotive Systems - Electric Vehicle· An Engineering background gained within Manufacturing & Production build &/or assembly · You will have supervised and/or led the manufacturing of an engineered product, maybe Automotive related or similar. Thinks special purpose machines/machinery, engines, turbo, battery, super-capacitor, solar-panel, fuel cell, electric vehicle etc · You can set, implement & monitor successful manufacturing processes & procedures · Youll have the proven ability to motivate a teams of engineers & technicians · Youre a natural problem solver & not afraid to ask questions if you dont know the answer · Youll be good on computers & have used an ERP system beforeWe understand you may be qualified by experience, rather than specific qualifications, but were happy to see candidates with related manufacturing, process, systems training & development courses.You product experience will come from a mechanical or electrical engineering background or similar.THE COMPANY:We are at the forefront of bespoke battery development for Electric Vehicles & work closely with Tier 1 Automotive developers on new prototypes.PROSPECTS:Ive already mentioned that weve doubled our headcount in the last 12 months - you can grow your career here with us, as we continue to grow as a business.It is highly likely youll have worked in any of the following roles and/or markets, and worked with the following products and/or services: manufacturing, production, assembly, battery, engine, motor, turbo, power-train, HV, workshop, manufacturing supervisor, production supervisor, workshop supervisor, production supervisor, manufacturing supervisor, team-leader, automotive, formula 1, manufacturing engineer, assembly technician.INTERESTED Please click apply.
