Job Description

Our client are a specialist civil engineering, construction and facilities management company, they have a permanent opportunity for a Maintenance Technician to join their team in Coventry.Client DetailsOur client are part of a global group who are known for the innovation, creativity and technological mastery which they use to tackle the most complex of projects.Our client undertake new build and refurbishment schemes as well as long-term contracts to operate and maintain assets and facilities. They provide services to local authorities, transport bodies, hospitals, universities, housing providers, retailers and commercial firms in every sector.Description

  • Carry out day to day minor repairs and inspections and assist the Maintenance Crafts-persons to complete their tasks in their own area of responsibility
  • To assist during inclement weather to load the gritter and assist with the gritting where possible in and around the roadways and footpaths
  • The post holder will be required to carry out other tasks as requested by the Supervisors and Managers
  • To assist in running the waste compactor and clinical waste system.
  • To participate in additional training based on the specific needs of the post holder to maximise their knowledge to ensure that the service level requirements of the organisation are achieved
  • To carry out any other duties deemed to be reasonable by the Supervisor
    • ProfileThe successful Maintenance Technician will have:
  • Have experience working in building and construction dealing with Basic plumbing and drainage, taking water samples
  • Have experience working in building and construction dealing with basic mechanical proficiency
  • Be able to work from steps, scaffolding and other heights
  • Be able to work alternate weekends (nominal of 5 hours, depending on work load) and providing cover for holidays and sickness for which the appropriate overtime rate will apply
  • Positive attitude along with good communication and team working abilities
  • Basic health and safety skills and knowledge
