We are recruiting for a Maintenance Engineer for our client based in North side of Coventry, excellent opportunity, if you are looking for straight days Monday to Friday, no shifts involved.The role will be varied and will be involved in all site and yard maintenance.The maintenance team on site will always be the first port of call for any site issues with a brief to make safe and repair where possible within the capabilities and skills of the individual engineer. It is extremely important to work safely, positively and professionally at all times, as a main point of contact engineers must have confidence to take control of a situation.This work is often very heavy, dirty and in awkward locations involving a great deal of manual effort sometimes over prolonged periods, coupled with a need to work quickly and safely to effect repairs during breakdown situations, whilst under pressure to reduce production limitations, quite often whilst in either very hot or cold situations due to the nature of the environment. The duties of the maintenance engineering team can include, but are not necessarily limited to the following maintenance, replacement, repair and servicing activities:*Work with plant and equipment *Electrical Work*Work with furnaces and industrial gas systems*Work with site extraction plant *Work with casting lines / tracks and associated equipment.*Work with flammable gasses / liquids*Work with the ABB robot *Work with water systems and or drains / oil interceptors *Work with electrical systems*Work with compressed air *Work at height including use of fixed access, temporary access platforms, i.e. scaffold towers, Cherry Picker, Ladder, Man cage etc*Use of lifting equipment *Use of Abrasive wheels , including fixed wheels, angle grinders, Stihl Saw.*Work with Hand tools / powered hand tools*Work in confined areas *Work in hot areas, i.e. near furnaces*Work outside in various weather conditions*Fault finding and recommendations for improvement of Site equipment / procedures*Manual Handling *Housekeeping*Other duties as and when required.A trained electrical fitter will also be expected to perform work on electricity. All engineers are expected to work on Hydraulic, Pneumatic, Electrical and Mechanical equipment. Along with this there will be requirements to carry out building fabric repairs and general site repairs as would be expected of a fast-paced production facility. Small Scale Machinery, i.e. lathe, milling machine, croppers, abrasive wheels*Furnaces*EMP Pump*Induction Furnaces*Industrial Gas Burners*Oxyfuel Burners *Casting Tracks *Robot*Filtration systems (Oil, water and air)*Hydraulic / pneumatic systems*Company Vehicles, i.e. grabs, diggers*Building maintenance including water systems*Extraction plants
