Job Description

Logistics OperativeFull TimeCoventryMon to Fri£31,677.01 p/aAbout the role:We have an exciting opportunity for a Logistics Operative to join an FTSE 250 International company specialising in components and sub-systems for the Aerospace, Defence and Energy markets. My Client provides Engine Systems, including FlowControl, Thermal Systems, Engine Composites and Engine Sensors for both Civil and Defence Aerospace Customers.Using your experience as a Logistics Operative, you will undertake:Goods Receipt:

  • Ensuring inbound couriers are directed safely across the yard to the appropriate unloading bay.
  • Unloading delivery vehicles and review of delivery paperwork ensure that delivery guidelines are met.
  • Transfer of MRO returns to the MRO drop off zone.
  • Receipt of deliveries against POs in SAP.
  • Generation of GRNs and labelling of materials.
  • Transfer of materials to quality inspection or put away areas.
  • Scanning of delivery paperwork.
Put away materials:
  • Put away goods into the appropriate storage area (VLM, VNA, Exterior Stores)
Picking:
  • Picking from storage locations into appropriate order containers, e.g. kit box, bag, tote box.
  • Labelling of decanted materials where required.
  • Transfer picked orders to tug marshalling area, awaiting quality inspection or packing area.
Deliver to production zones:
  • Collection and drop off of trolleys between warehouse and production zones.
  • Scanning of transfer orders to production zones.
  • Manual transfer of non-production items between external storage and production zones.
Prepare for despatch:
  • Packaging and labelling of orders to packaging specifications.
  • Generations and signature of dangerous goods note.
  • Transfer packed orders to the shipping area.
Despatch:
  • Ensuring outbound couriers are directed safely across the yard to the appropriate loading bay.
  • Handover of correct deliveries to the outbound courier and retrieve signed collection notes.
  • Handover collection note to shipping and update delivery board.
Inventory Management:
  • Completion of cycle counts.
  • Completion of stock movement tasks between storage types.
Warehouse Operations Management:
  • 6S, warehouse and yard standards are upheld.
