Job Description

Learning and Development SpecialistMenzies Distribution are looking for aLearning and Development Specialist to join our team. Ideally the successful candidate will reside in the Midlands but will be welcome to work from home. This role is based on a 9am to 5pm (Monday to Friday) working week and is a six-month fixed term contract.This role would suit a Learning and Development Specialist who is interested in contract work or growing their career portfolio.Note: Relevant COVID-19 precautions will be taken during the recruitment process for this role. LEARNING AND DEVELOPMENT SPECIALIST DUTIES

  • Design and deliver innovative and engaging blended learning solutions and content for an operational training project that will include but not limited to virtual delivery, online content, use of gamification
  • Devise quizzes and assessments to measure learning understanding and application
  • Develop good working relationships with colleagues across the business to get an understanding of the business and what the key skills requirements are
  • Support with the communication and roll out of the key learning initiatives to operational teams
  • Build good solid relationships with 3rd part training partners/suppliers
  • Promote a culture of learning and development throughout the business
  • Support the promotion of our company values & ethos
LEARNING AND DEVELOPMENT SPECIALIST REQUIREMENTS
  1. Proven experience in designing and delivering blended learning initiatives (including face to face, virtual and digital)
  2. Knowledge and understanding of Learning Management Systems and eLearning tools
  3. An understanding of the latest trends and practices in Learning & Development
  4. High levels of energy and drive to achieve results
  5. Be a team player who is flexible, proactive and takes responsibility
  6. Exceptional communication and relationship building skills with internal and external stakeholders
  7. Facilitation, coaching and presentation skills
  8. Excellent administration and organisational skills.
  9. Skilled in Excel, Word, Power Point
  10. Desirable but not essentialExperience in Warehousing/Logistics, Office 365 and Microsoft Teams for Business
