Due to the award of new long-term projects, company investment and expansion, a leading manufacturer of advanced technology products has a new vacancy for a Lead Engineer. As Lead Engineer, you will take responsibility for multiple projects within the R&Dfunction to ensure they meet the necessary technical requirements and are delivered to cost and on schedule.Commutable from: Coventry, Birmingham, Leicester, Rugby, Leamington Spa, Kenilworth.Salary: £ 45,000 -£ 52,000 p.a. + benefits Suitable for: Lead Development Engineer, Lead Engineer, Principal Engineer, Mechanical Design Engineer, Design Manager, Mechanical Engineer, Senior Engineer, R&D Engineer. The Role Create project plans and engineering documentation (DFMEA, DVP&R etc.)Ensuring verification and validation activities are demonstrated and documented for design reviewsProviding technical support to the Design, Quality, Manufacturing Engineering, Marketing and Commercial teamsResponsible for problem solving of design and product related issuesResolving functional issues as they arise throughout the development and service life cycleDeveloping specifications and test programmesAnalysing and interpreting test result dataCreating and delivering reports to internal colleagues and external customersDeveloping component manufacture and providing schematics, CNC programming, manufacturing documentation / guidelines, hands on manufacturing support and trainingVerification and validation activities including supporting internal and customer funded ballistic trialsThe CandidatePreferably degree level education or equivalent in Engineering (Mechanical/Automotive) or similar subjectPrevious experience working on full lifecycle design and development projects, within an engineer to order technical environmentExperience in 3D CAD modelling and detail designUnderstanding of engineering drawings and design standards, (ideally to automotive, aeroapace or defence requirements)Familiarity with configuration control and change managementKnowledge and experience of engineering documentation such as FMEAs, DVP&R, SRD, SoWAbility to communicate effectively on a technical level with both peer and management groups and customersProficient user of MS officeFor more information send a CV to Alex Price.
