Job Description

Title: Imports Outbound Supervisor - 37636Division: Supply ChainContract Position based at: Whitley and Hybrid working at homeRate:up to £30.22/hr Ltd (c.£23.31/hr PAYE option)Position Description: The Trading Division is a unique team within the business that has a core function to buy, move and sell products around the world in support of Global manufacturing activities. The Trading Division Imports function enables the business to import Chinese& Indian produced components for use in our UK and European manufacturing facilities.As the Imports Outbound Supervisor, youll be the daily point of contact for the plants. Youll ensure all plant deliverables are managed and parts are shipped to plant or Deconsolidation Centres on time, in full and within targets. The role will also involvesupporting the contract management of service providers. This is a customer-facing role primarily responsible for managing the relationship with TD Imports customers.Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise a team of direct and indirect analysts, to complete tasks required to achieve 100% on time and in full delivery of parts supply to all 12 UK & EU customers.
  • Lead generation and root cause analysis for OTIF KPIs and premium freight process Develop relationships with customers to support a transparent and dependable way of working
  • Work in partnership with 3PL to resolve operational tasks to ensure timely and successful resolution of all supply chain delivery issues Identify opportunities & create Business Requirement Document proposals for SAP improvements
  • Resolve SAP IDOCs failures related to Operations issues
  • Work with 3PL to ensure adherence to the MP&L Supplier Guidelines along with leading resolution of internal and external customer logistics claims.
  • Implementation of engineering changes to plan with minimal obsolescence and support JLR plants on new model launch plans and production strategies
  • Supervise CHEP reporting and process adherence by 3PL
  • Take ownership for major or complex issues and manage through to resolution, liaising with wider JLR teams and third-party suppliers as necessary
  • Undertake any other work as directed by their line manager in connection with their job as may be requested
Essential Skills and Experience:
  • Experience of stakeholder management and developing relationships
  • Highly Experienced CMMS / SAP user
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret data to enable decision making
  • Experience of automotive demand and cumulative management methodology
  • Experience of outbound and shipping processes
  • Background in Supply Chain with an in-depth appreciation of end-to-end supply chain solutions
  • Experience of working with business stakeholders to deliver supply chain improvements
  • Microsoft Office including PowerPoint and Excel
Desirable Skills and Experience:
  • Experience of supervising and developing a team
  • Experience of system improvement with manufacturing process
Education Required:
  • Degree or relevant equivalent experience preferred
