Job Description

Goodman Masson are excited to be partnered with a medium to large sized housing association on their search for a Head of Finance!Who would you be working forThe client, founded in the 1900s, are one of the largest housing providers in the UK. They have a long and proud history of providing affordable homes, with residents at the heart of what they do, aiming to create a safe community where residents are proudof where they live.What is the roleWith an annual revenue of over £200m, the client is now looking for a Head of Finance to join their growing team.Main responsibilities:

  • Ensure the Finance function is efficiently managed, including production of returns, ensuring compliance with any conditions; production of timely and accurate budgets and accounts; effective treasury management, and the provision of an effective financialmanagement and financial planning service
  • Preparation of monthly management accounts and quarterly reforecasting
  • Ensure a high standard of preparation and presentation of all financial information to Senior Management, Committees and Boards and other forums as required
  • Advise and support all aspects of financial management and planning
This role is offering a salary of circa £66,000 per annum, with hybrid working in their office in Coventry.What do you need to succeed
  • A full accounting qualification (CIMA, ACCA or equivalent)
  • Experience of staff management and development
  • Previous experience working within housing is desirable
  • Understanding of strategic management, business planning and how these relate to budgets /finance
