Job Description

The position will be based in Coventry. For further information about this position please apply.Morgan Hunt are looking for a seasonal Grounds Maintenance operative to work for a social housing association in Coventry.The ideal candidate will have experience in social housing or previous Grounds maintenance work experience. A car Driver is essential as well as a DBS.Responsibilities of a Grounds Maintenance Worker

  • Undertaking gardening, garden clearance and/ or grounds maintenance for a range of properties in accordance with service specification and works schedule.
  • Use all types of mechanical gardening equipment, mowers, strimmers, blowers, hedge cutters etc. Use lawn mowers of appropriate size and according to site conditions, properly adjusted for appropriate cut on all grassed areas.
  • Ensure that health and safety considerations are central to all work activities.
  • The gardening work includes, grass cutting, clearance, planting, weeding and spraying and maintenance of shrub areas.
Requirements:
  • Current clean driving licence
  • Previous experience in grounds maintenance
  • Relevant professional qualification, NVQ or equivalent would be preferred
  • Up to date DBS - issued within the last 3 months or on the update service
