Job Description

Alexander Daniels are working in partnership with a large househld name organisation based in Coventry to recruit a Fleet Compliance Manager on a permanent basis. The role can be home based 2 days per week, with 3 days being at the Coventry offices.My client have grown significantly and are undergoing a company-wide transformation and now require a Fleet Compliance Manager to take ownership of my clients six Operator Licences. The Fleet Compliance Manager will provide assurance to the Board that legal obligations are met, protecting the business from any risk.The Fleet Compliance Manager will provide internal and external confidence of vehicle fleet compliance for the business and will encompass all aspects of driver risk management for commercial vehicles and company cars. The Fleet Compliance Manager will also engage with statutory bodies and act as expert to the Network Fleet Specialists to maintain a safe and compliant fleet.Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the legal obligations of the Operators Licences on behalf of the business
  • Monitir and manage DVSA OCRS reporting and actions
  • Acting as Dangerous Goods Safety Adviser (DGSA)
  • Providing internal and external assurance of vehicle fleet compliance
  • Internal and external audits of fleet suppliers
  • Implement internal policies and procedures ensuring compliance
  • Working closely with the SHEs Managers and Advisors throughout the business
  • Engaging with statutory bodies and Enforcement Agencies
  • Working with areas of the business to actively promote, encourage and monitor good driving behaviours
  • Take ownership of the fleet management database
    • To be considered you must:
  • Have extensive experience in Transport Legislation compliance
  • Have good understanding of Operator Licencing
  • Professional experience managing large, diverse fleets
  • Good understanding of DVSA, DVLA, DfT and enforcement agencies
  • Proven experience communicating and building relationships with senior management
  • Have experience in auditing suppliers
  • Experience managing multiple projects and delivering to deadlines
  • Experience supporting process improvement strategies
