Firmware Engineer - c£45k - CoventryOverview:An excellent opportunity has arisen with a market leading Home Safety Product provider for a Firmware Engineer. This role will be to design, build, and maintain efficient and reliable code and to ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of firmware.Our client is a market leading provider of products that saves lives.Roles and responsibilities:• Distilling product requirements into Firmware Requirements• Realising the Firmware requirements through efficient and robust embedded Firmware to achieve an optimal cost / benefit relationship.• Contributing to the Firmware Development Process to ensure compliance to the Business Management System. • Maintenance of existing designs in accordance with their certification requirements.• Conducting and contributing to Peer Code Reviews• Helping to maintaining code quality, organisation and automation. Essential Skills & Experience:• 3-5 years experience as a Firmware Engineer• Strong understanding of embedded development• Understanding of embedded electronics• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools (GitHub)• Full software development life cycle experience.• Experience of Software / Firmware design on Microchip PIC and ARM M0/M0+ or similar devices• Knowledge of Si-Labs or TI devices.• RTOS and Stacks• Strong understanding of RF technologies.Desirable:• Agile development (JIRA, GitHub)• Familiarity with NXP• Application development for Windows and/or Linux.• Implementing automated testing platforms and unit tests• Python Package:• c£45k based on skills and experience• Benefits package• Generous bonus• Potential 2-3 days remote working
