Job Description

Are you a commercial finance professional building a career in Business Partnering Can you use your experience and personality to cement strong working relationships with key stakeholdersGleeson Recruitment Group are proud to be exclusively partnered with a FTSE 100 manufacturing giant looking to add a commercially minded Finance Business Partner into their Category team. The successful individual will have extensive experience partneringwith both finance and non-finance stakeholders with a focus on driving profitability. This role is based in Coventry on a hybrid basis, boasting a salary of up to £45,000 + bonus + additional benefits.The Finance Business Partner will have outstanding commercial acumen, with the confidence to seek out trouble and drive improvements, whilst developing and continuing to maintain fantastic working relationships across multiple departments. This is an excitingopportunity to truly add value into a leading manufacturing brand and escalate your career, with unlimited development opportunities within the brand.Reporting into the Category Director, you will be providing proactive insight to allow successful finance decisions to drive strategic growth of your category. You will also:

  • Challenge financial performance of the category, partnering with the Category Director to identify areas of growth
  • Forecast supplier rebates for the brand, including the identification of rebate opportunities to positively impact the P&L
  • Model various supplier deal options, run scenario tests and provide recommendations
  • Create reports providing detail on warning indicator margin exceptions for Category Managers, including Sales vs. Costs/Inflation variables
  • Track net margin with analysis of various parts
  • Provide independent risk analysis on system price realignment where required
  • Provide internal and external commentary and financial insight to support the category review process
  • Ensure working capital is analysed and monitored as part of decision-making processes
  • Drive development of rebate budgets for the brands
  • Assist with local category reporting requirements
  • Delivery short term and one off projects as required by Category Manager
The successful individual will be agile, with an entrepreneurial mindset and commitment to owning their category.
