Job Description

FAIRSInspector (6 month contract)Contract PositionCompetitive rate (Umbrella/PAYE only)6 months initiallyCoventryOur client, a well-recognised and highly respected Aerospace manufacturer, is looking for a FAIRS Engineer for a 6-month contract position. The ideal candidate will be well-versed with Visual IPI/FAIR. FAIRSInspectorJob Description

  • Creating and compiling first article inspection reports.
  • Inspecting parts at various stages of production, in line with company procedures and by following all relevant documentation, such as work instructions, engineering drawings, and inspection control plans.
  • Reading and understanding drawing and product specifications and relating them to the relevant product in order to determine conformity.
  • Working with Quality Engineers and other team members to support product disposition.
  • Working to time sensitive goals and targets and ensuring that product flows efficiently through the business.
  • Using manual and machine inspection measuring equipment to inspect parts (callipers, micrometres, faro arm, CMM, XRF technology and hardness testing).
  • Interacting with ERP system and data collection software including SAP, Visual FAI and any other business tools.
FAIRSInspectorEssential Skills/Experience/Qualifications
  • Strong experience with Visual IPI/FAIR.
  • Previous experience with AS9102.
  • Ability to raise NCR/QN documentation with clear problem statements.
  • Experience creating and compiling first article inspection reports.
  • Experience working within Aerospace Manufacturing.
  • Previous experience planning and conducting product process audits.
FAIRS InspectorDesirable Skills/Experience/Qualifications
  • CMM experience
  • GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance)
