Job Description

PE Global is currently recruiting for a Electrical Engineer (EV charging infrastructure development) for a leading Energy client based in Coventry.The successful candidate will be required to provide expert electrical input to the designs, produce site-specific physical drawings of the development with associated design risk assessments, and will manage clients subcontractors throughout the pre-constructionand construction phases. Engagement in project management meetings, both internal and external facing, and the ability to manage stakeholders effectively will be a requirement.Responsibilities:

  • Managing and coordinating clients contractors scheduling of work, conducting safety and quality audits of ongoing works.
  • Management of Health & Safety throughout the pre-construction process, including running design coordination workshops, preparing Pre-Construciton Information, and ensuring the obligations of the Principal Designer (PD) role are discharged appropriatelyby client
  • Production of CAD layout designs for EV charging sites using AutoCAD design software, based on clients standard designs and site surveys and associated Design Risk Assessments
  • Ensuring adherence to the requirements of BS 771 electrical installation regulations in all design and works throughout the project
Requirements:
  • Detailed knowledge and understanding of the requirements of BS 771 Requirements for Electrical Installations
  • Ability to produce high quality CAD design drawings using AutoCAD design software
  • Good understanding of the obligations placed on the Client and Principal Designer under the Construction (Design & Management) Regulations 2015
  • Experience controlling quality, safety and planning of HV or V installation projects
  • Strong stakeholder management abilities managing both client and subcontractor relationships
