Job Description

Binley basedPermanentMonday to Friday - shifts between 7.30am and 5pm1 Saturday morning in 4 - 8am to 12 noon£25,200paOur client, a large and successful manufacturing and distribution company based in Binley, are looking for a Distribution Coordinator to join their small but busy team. This role encompasses customer service with logistics and transport coordination.The key responsibilities:

  • Taking and scheduling orders to make deliveries
  • Controlling costs using the right planning of vehicles and routes
  • Liaising with hauliers, ensuring excellent customer service and dealing with haulage customer queries
  • Using Excel to plan the work schedule for each day
  • Management of late deliveries, informing all concerned parties
The ideal candidate:
  • Clear communicator with brilliant customer service skills
  • Ideally some experience and understanding in transport and logistics
  • IT literate - experience with SAP would be advantageous
  • Proactive with a great attention to detail
  • Full training to be given to the right candidate
