I am supporting a Housing Association that has roughly 36,000 houses nationally with 76,000 customers. The organisation has recently hired a new CIO who has restructured the IT Department which has created an opportunity to hire a Director of Software Engineering& Data to join the organisation.The successful person would ideally come with experience of IoT (Internet of things) as the business is implementing Smart Homes to improve their customer experience.The Director of Software Engineering & Data is responsible for the design, development, implementation and maintenance of software solutions and data services across the organisation. The role focuses on the group’s growth and transformation, with the goalof making our architecture, solutions, data and end user experience better and simpler. The role is broadly defined across the SDLC, including some time in innovation/R&D/solutioning, as well as development and maintenance.The post holder must ensure the delivery of software and data insight to meet the business needs and future requirements.
