Job Description

Broster Buchanan have partnered with an exciting business based in Coventry with a view to find a Data Scientist to join a well-established team.My client is looking to pay between £40,000 and £45,000 for the right person.The role includes:

  • To provide value added insights and recommendations to the business using data science techniques
  • Pre-processing of structured and unstructured data
  • Analyse large data sets to discover trends and patterns
  • Build predictive models and machine-learning algorithms
  • Combine models through ensemble modelling
  • Present information using data visual techniques
  • Provide solutions and strategy to business challenges
  • Collaborate with operational and service development teams
    • The ideal person will have/be:
  • BSc/BA in Computer Science, Engineering or relevant field; graduate degree in Data Science or another quantitative field
  • Experience of working within a distribution / supply chain environment
  • Knowledge of Hadoop, data clouds and machine learning
  • Knowledge of R, SQL and Python
  • Experience using business intelligence tools (Tableau) and data frameworks (Hadoop)
  • Excellent communication, including presentation skills
  • Strong math skills (e.g. statistics, algebra)
