This is a key role within IT Delivery, providing an exciting opportunity for someone with extensive experience of solutions design and data modelling in a senior role to perform: • Data Warehousing (Inmon) and Data Marts (Kimball) for Business Intelligence and Analytics • Conceptual, Logical and Physical Modelling for business system development (across the society) The Data Designer (Modeller) role supports business system development and our growing Data, Analytics and Reporting team based in our busy IT function. As a Data Designer (Modeller) your key responsibilities on a day to day basis would include: • Mentoring and supporting other members of the Data Modelling practice, to upskill and lift the capability of the practice (via 1-2-1s, reviews and oversight of deliverables). • Play an active and proactive role in moving forward the Societys capability maturity level • taking opportunities to spread knowledge to other members of the team in a structured way when opportunities arise • Actively engaging with IT delivery teams from requirements gathering, through to Data Modelling for Business System, Enterprise Data Warehouse (Inmon) and Data Marts (Kimball) • Design and maintain conceptual, logical and physical data models to support new and existing projects using industry best practice and in alignment to the Societys technical reference architecture • Defining data models that meet the intended outcome of a project, programme or other engagement, ensuring alignment to the Data and Insight strategy and conforming to policies, standards, patterns and general good practice • Provide expert knowledge and experience to design data models for the support of long-term and strategic solutions for the Society About You This role presents a great opportunity for an experienced Data Modeller to play a formative role in the enhancement of the Societys Data Modelling capability during a time of significant investment and growth.
