Job Description

Customer Quality EngineerPermanentCompetitive Salary + Excellent Benefits8:00am16:30 MondayFriday (15:30 Finish on Friday)CoventryOur client is a well-recognised and highly respected Aerospace manufacturer who are looking for a Customer Quality Engineer to join their expanding team. This role supports internal and external quality processes & acts as a lead interface with our business & our customers by driving improvements into the business from internal data analysis, customer & inputs.Customer Quality EngineerJob Description

  • Implement and ensure compliance to all procedures described in the Business Management System (BMS).
  • Point of contact for the customer/s assigned for the company.
  • Ensure all customer project gate reviews are supported (IPT) and the customer quality concerns shared throughout review process.
  • Manage customer containment activities within the company and potentially at the customer locations to minimize impact to the customer.
  • Respond to customer concerns/ complaints by implementing full containment actions, full analysis, poka-yokes and executing short and long-term countermeasures.
  • Lead problem solving activities with each value stream, utilising Ishikawa, 5 Why Shipped/ Made techniques. Includes presenting the findings (8D) to the customer.
  • Review and update quality documentation to communicate lessons learned from quality concerns.
  • Ensure all necessary systems and procedures are in place to satisfy the customer requirements, visits and audits.
  • Represent the company on customer plant visits and/ or conference calls/ meetings. Including carrying out the necessary actions.
Customer Quality EngineerEssential Experience/ Skills/ Qualifications
  • Understanding of AS9100 rev D, minimum an understanding of ISO9001:2015.
  • HNC or equivalent in an Engineering discipline.
  • Experience in a Manufacturing environment, ideally industrial Manufacturing.
  • Experience in customer service & solving customer issues
  • Must be able to read and interpret Engineering Drawings.
  • Experience of dealing with customers and suppliers.
