The individual sought will have already demonstrated an outstanding record with regards to academicand administrative skills in a Higher Education environment and will have primary experience in leading courses and line managing other individuals.Course Leaders maintain their currency in respect of the future HE landscape and will have demonstrated innovative practices with regards to teaching, learning & assessment across degree courses, as well as contemporary course design to meet changing marketswithin the area. In addition, Course Leaders are outstanding tutors, able to demonstrate a contemporary knowledge of Public Health and related practices within this diverse field.This area is undergoing constant change and adaptions and it is likely that this post holder will be involved in reviewing the course to ensure its value in the portfolio offered at CU Coventry.Qualifications RequiredMaster’s degree in a relevant discipline or (If from a professional practice background) a good Honours Degree and appropriate professional qualification and/or membership.You will have or be willing to achieve a relevant teaching qualification such as PGCHE/Higher Education Academy (Associate Fellow/ Fellow) accreditation.Our Successful CandidateWe are looking for an individual who demonstrates a passion for continuing development of both self and curriculum. Within the institution you will alongside several other middle and senior managers, promote the reputation of this course, and the institution.Furthermore, you will have some experience of writing new programmes as you would be expected to contribute to the development of any new degree programmes and to support with any phasing out of relevant degree programmes.
