Our products are the chosen option for some of the world’s most reputable OEMs. Our efforts have been recognised by the DCS Awards panel and we are proud winnersof the ‘Data Centre Cooling Innovation of the Year’ Award.Who we are looking forCould you be the person we’re looking for to join our close knit teamAs an Electrical Control Panel Builder, you will be responsible for assembling, wiring, and testing electrical control panels according to specifications and industry standards. Your expertise in interpreting electrical schematics and blueprints, as wellas your proficiency in working with various electrical components, will be critical in ensuring the efficient and accurate construction of control panels. We need you to be independent and proactive with excellent attention to detail as well as a dependableand strong team player with ambition and capability of handling multiple projects. You will be self-motivated, have excellent communication skills both written and oral, be computer literate, and able to work on own initiative.The ideal candidate will have a background in electrical systems, either through qualification or time served experience, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards. You will be part of a team responsible forthe final build, commissioning, testing and acceptance of contractual orders.We are committed to finding the right person for our business so if you feel that you would like to apply but don’t meet all of the requirements of the role as it stands, don’t worry! Main duties :
  • Assembling and testing a variety of electrical Control Panels.
  • Reading electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and layout drawings.
  • Marking out for component fit and fitting of components to chassis plate.
  • Assembling and labelling all components and fix to backplate.
  • Fault finding and repair of control panels in the workshop and, sometimes, on site.
  • Communicate and adopt safe systems of work (RAMS).
  • Observing the requirements of any Permit to Work issued by site Duty Holders.
  • Following efficient work procedures and techniques.
  • Engaging in the determination of work rotas and assignment of tasks.
  • Assessing tasks for completeness and report any issues or variations.
  • Ensuring all tools and equipment in use is certified and/or calibrated.
  • Maintaining positive relationships with fellow workers and other third parties.
  • Undertaking specialist training as required and keep up to date with statutory and legislative requirements.
  • Demonstrating and apply the principles of continuous improvement to achieve ‘Best Practice’
Key attributes required for you to fulfil this role:
  • Experience building electrical control panels highly desirable.
  • Must be able to read electrical drawings and schematics.
  • Must be a competent and tidy worker who takes pride in their work.
  • Must be a team player and happy to get stuck in, but able to work independently when required.
  • Experience in working in line with company processes.
  • Positive in your approach to accomplish tasks effectively.
  • Ability to work to deadlines.
