Contract Project EngineerLocation: Coventry, West MidlandsSalary: Competitive Daily RateContract: Part time, Contract, up to 6 monthsHours: 3 days a weekAbout the Company:SFM is an innovative Coventry-based B2B supplier of gelling fibres & fabrics for the advanced wound care industry. We offer a range of wound care technologies and all our products are manufactured in ISO certified clean rooms in line with the highest standards of care.SFM’s aim is to successfully deliver innovative, cost effective and quality products and solutions into the advanced wound care industry with an ultimate aim of improving patient care and wellbeing.The company is currently going through a transition, relocating operations from the old site to a new facility. As part of the relocation process, the company is seeking a contract project engineer for a period of up to 6 months, to support with projects relating to relocation.Project Engineer - About the Role:The role is responsible for driving continuous improvements in the manufacturing processes. This is a forward-looking role that is responsible for actively seeking to implement state of the art manufacturing processes and keeping the company up to date with modern practices in line with its forward-thinking customers. This role achieves this by managing others to deliver continuous improvement activities and maintain compliance with HSE, QMS and Medical Device Regulations.The project engineer will have mechanical or process engineering bias, and will be supporting the transition of existing equipment from the current site, plant installation and modification projects in the new site.The candidate will be expected to make frequent presentations at various levels and create or update reports on progress. Strong communication skills are required for this position.Project Engineer - Key Skills / Experience:The ideal candidate will demonstrate experience in relocation projects, being capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously. Experience in participating in, and leading internal and external cross functional teams is essential.
