Job Description

Were looking for a EV charge point Installer to join our Lighting and Grid team, the location for this role is flexible.Heres what youll be doingE.ON UK operates one of the largest Street Lighting Contracting businesses in the UK with a large presence in the East and West Midlands as well as the North West of England. We have four Street Lighting PFIs and work for most local authorities in the areaswe operate in. In addition to street lighting we are proud to be the delivery team for E.ON Drive, undertaking EV Charging installations throughout the UK including interim/annual maintenance along with emergency assistance. Were always looking at ways togrow and expand which is why we are looking for time served experienced Industrial & Commercial Electricians to be part of our fast growing EV Install team.This is a great opportunity to join an innovative business with the potential to develop your skills and upskill within our Energy Infrastructure Services.Youll also be responsible for:

  • Efficient delivery of Commercial & Industrial electrical installations from start to finish
  • To carry out various aspects of testing, inspection and commissioning of EV Charging installs
  • To ensure a high quality is maintained at all times
  • Provide customer support and interaction during electrical installs
  • To attend general maintenance and emergency response calls to Charging assets
  • Supervising colleagues and external contractors
  • Ensure personnel and possibly sub-contractors under their control, fully understand and adhere to their job requirements
  • Taking full ownership for personal health and safety responsibilities and that of the team ensuring PPE worn at all times
  • Carry out risk assessments and maintain safe working practices
What we need from you
  • Recognised Electrical Apprenticeship or training programme.
  • C&G 236 pt 1 and pt 2 or equivalent with extensive & proven relevant trade experience.
  • 18th edition BS7671 wiring regs qualification.
  • C&G 2391 Inspection & Testing would be an advantage
  • Current First Aid and Manual Handling certificates would be an advantage but not essential
  • CSCS accreditation would be an advantage but not essential
  • A current driving licence with MEWP operators cert an advantage
