Job Description

A leading global automaker and provider of innovative mobility solutions are looking to recruit a commercial finance analyst to cover maternity leave for a minimum of 6 months. This role is hybrid with the ability to attend the office in Coventry if neededonce or twice per week.The Commercial Finance Analyst will work closely with one of our Brands Commercial Finance Managers and will provide critical financial support, managerial reporting and analysis on various areas related to the related to the commercial finance of the business.

  • This role will manage the preparation, analysis, and reporting of commercial matters particularly on new vehicle segments using our vehicle reporting tool. This role will also include reviewing and presenting performance against targets every month to explainvariances, which could affect business decisions.
  • Building a close work relationship with commercial activity Directors and Managers is also key to this role.
  • Monitor and control the profitability of ensuring that budgets are respected, and actions taken to correct any potential overspend and maximise profit.
  • Involvement in the production and coordination of Annual Budgets, Forecast and Month End accounts and management reports including a full variance analysis.
Key Responsibilities and Deliverables include:
  • Provide financial support/analysis and be the focal point of contact for the relevant commercial teams within the organisation.
  • Prepare, analyse, and review commercial matters using a reporting tool
  • Coordinate and perform individual profitability and pricing analysis and reporting across various sales channels to ensure financial optimisation
  • Submission and liaise with European HQ in respect of managerial reporting * Prepare ad hoc analysis and support budget, forecast and month end preparation and consolidation
  • Support Senior Brand Controller to develop and manage profitability KPIs for responsible channels and drive business performance
  • Manage the month end accounting process including consolidation, reporting and reconciliations
  • Be actively involved and support implementation of new organisation tools, SAP4 system and other alignment synergies
  • Ensure all accounting is in line with local fiscal requirements and company policies and assure timely month-end closing results
  • Participation in any internal audit or SOX control related activities in the relevant areas of Fleet sales.
Job RequirementsQualified CIMA or ACCA. Finalist would be preferred although equivalent experience would also be considered.*Knowledge of management accounting* Sound working knowledge of the various aspects of the accounting function and financial qualification would be advantageous.* Commercial Finance Business partnering experience is an advantage to this role* Highly numerate, analytical skills and high standard of accuracy* Broad knowledge of P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash flow* Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to negotiate and build relationships* Effective presentation skills with comfort around senior management* Proven ability to effectively manage multiple projects alongside regular deadlines* Proactive and able to work on own initiative adopting continuous improvement mentalityAdecco acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and an employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
