Job Description

Made up 42,000engineers , Alten provides engineering support in Aerospace, Ground Transportation, Defence,Energy, IT, Life Science & Financial Services.Due to ongoing expansion, Alten Ltd is looking for a Chassis &Powertrain Component Owner to join our team in Coventry within the Automotive sector. This is a fantastic chance to join a fast-growing company with strong core values of; Excellence, Accountability,Integrity and Service.Your new role:As a Chassis & Powertrain ComponentOwner you will be one of our consultants performing on one of our major engineering projects in the UK. You will also be contributing to our development and growth within the Automotive industry.As a Chassis & Powertrain ComponentOwner your main responsibilities will be:

  • Take full responsibility of component delivery and ownership.
  • Understand and define requirements for vehicle and system level validation.
  • Develop and validate chassis components.
  • Create test plans and execute HiL and ViL testing.
  • Deliver Chassis components against quality, cost and time targets.
Who are we looking forThe ideal candidate will possess a passion for Engineering, with a result-oriented and proactive mind-set. The successful candidate will have the chance to work on several exciting projects throughouttheir career with Alten, developing their engineeringknowledge as aChassis & Powertrain Component Owner and a consultant.Experience required:
  • Knowledge of Chassis and Powertrain components- within PHEV/BHEV essential.
  • Manage external supplier relations and internal stakeholders.
  • Experience in entire V-cycle delivery and change management processes.
  • Good exposure of programme management.
Qualifications required:Degree in a relevant engineering discipline with demonstrable experience.Mechanical or Electrical Preferred.What we offer:
