To support their growth, we looking for a passionate andresults-driven Category Manager with a strong focus on Category Strategy Planning to join their Purchasing function.DescriptionKey Responsibilities:

  • Category Strategy Development: Create and implement category strategies to maximise growth, profitability, and market share. This includes market analysis, competitive intelligence, and identifying growth opportunities.
  • Product Portfolio Management: Oversee the entire life-cycle of products within your category, from conception to retirement. Optimise product assortment, pricing, and promotional strategies.
  • Supplier Relationship Management: Collaborate with suppliers to negotiate terms, develop strategic partnerships, and ensure the availability of high-quality products.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, and other departments to align strategies and execute plans.
  • Data Analysis: Utilise data-driven insights to make informed decisions, continuously monitor category performance, and adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Market Trends: Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics to adapt strategies proactively.
  • Budget Management: Manage the category budget effectively to achieve revenue and margin goals.
Profile
  • Ideally MCIPS qualified or equivalent
  • Proven experience in category management, with a focus on category strategy planning.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in using data analysis tools and software.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.
  • Self-motivated, organised, and detail-oriented.
