Title: Capital Equipment / Non Production Category Buyer (36658)Position Description:2 Experienced Category Buyers are required to join an automotive OEM based in Whitley.The roles will be leading the procurement of specified categories within the Capital Equipment team in Non-Production Purchasing (NPP). The roles have a dual aspect in that it will be responsible for i) the establishment of service and raw material contracts in support of the expansion of a Manufacturing Engineering Workshop/Toolroom ii) responsible for the delivery of projects across multiple plants and vehicle programs. The position has an interface with a variety of functions, such as Manufacturing Engineering Workshop (MEW), Manufacturing Engineering (ME), Vehicle Programmes and Finance.As Capital Equipment Category Buyer, the role involves robust sourcing in-line with the Non-Production Purchasing 8-Step Category Management Process and will be primarily focused on sourcing, contract negotiation and contract implementation and management. This role is fundamental in supporting key stakeholder ME and their New Endings vision. The aim is for ME to become more self-sufficient and bring in-house design, manufacture, installation and commissioning responsibility.Personal Profile Requirements:
