Job Description

Macildowie are looking to recruit a Buyers role for a Procurement function with big plans to grow and reshape the team progressively in the coming months. The role is for a client of ours who specialise in the manufacturing industry.The ideal candidate will have experience in a Buyers position. The role will be a stand-alone role and the right person will need to be able to work by themselves without a wider team.The role is a Permanent role based in Coventry, and the salary ranges from £30,000 to £36,000 depending on relevant levels of experience.The company are looking for someone who has relevant NPI experience/Supplier relationship skills and a Material sourcing experience.The role will be fully based on site due to the Manufacturing/Engineering work that they specialise in.The role:

  • Support all new product introduction while reducing costs throughout the supply chain.
  • Add value in processes and cost efficiency to overall improve and contribute to savings.
  • Build relationships with suppliers and manage performance.
  • Maintain current relationships and monitor market trends to best perform in a competitive environment.
  • Maintain ERP system accuracy on the movement and process and management of materials.
  • Purchasing management and stock control of medium volume components.
  • Complete supplier business reviews, evaluating supplier performance.
  • Provide support to wider teams to identify supply chain risks.
  • Meet or exceed ongoing or key performance indicators or business objectives.
The ideal candidate:
  • Someone who enjoys challenges and takes pride in being highly accurate.
  • Enjoys implementing new processes and helping the wider team.
  • Experience of dealing with suppliers and negotiation skills.
  • Strong organisational skills and self-motivated.
  • Can work on their own and manage responsibilities in a solo environment.
